Marion has over 25 years in the finance industry, excelling in roles as Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, and Assistant Controller. She has experience in several industries, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), health, information technology and engineering, travel, SaaS, startup companies, private and public accounting. Marion has overseen accounting and payroll processes, while also collaborating with Executives, VP, HR, and Sales teams. She is knowledgeable about various accounting and finance processes, such as national and international transactions and expense reports, cash management tracking, insurance renewals, quarterly and yearly reporting, review of contracts, invoicing, local, city, and state business registration, and audits.

Currently, Marion is working as an Assistant Controller Consultant. She conducts detailed analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and provides valuable insights and recommendations as the first reviewer of financial statements. Marion also leads the external financial audit for a multi-entity with international subsidiaries and tax provisions. Furthermore, she serves as a project manager for NetSuite implementation and sales tax risk assessment projects. She compiles consolidated trial balance and financial statements, and Marion’s recommendations to the client for implementing NetSuite, Bill.com and Sales tax risk assessment are being implemented.

Prior to her current role, Marion held the position of Senior Accountant at three different companies. She handled various accounting tasks such as reconciling balance sheet accounts, managing cash and vendor management, reviewing and processing consolidated financial statements, and overseeing travel and expense management. Marion also prepared monthly cash management tracking and played a key role in annual insurance renewal. She managed pharmaceutical and clinical revenue recognition, handled accounts payable and accounts receivable, and conducted monthly closing procedures. She contributed to the implementation of Sage Intacct and AvaTax and assisted with annual financial audit preparation. Marion played a crucial role in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, prepared general ledger accounts, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations, and successfully managed state sales tax audits.
