Intake & Identify – Engage & Evaluate – Interview & Hire
We apply our decades of business experience in quickly assessing your needs, finding and evaluating candidates that are a unique match and ensure the interview and hiring process goes smoothly. We view the ideal placement to be as much art as it is science so each search is conducted following the same process: Intake & Identify - Engage & Evaluate - Interview & Hire.
Intake & Identify
Our first goal is to quickly and deeply understand the needs of your company to immediately begin the process of identifying qualified candidates. The first step of any search is to understand our client’s needs.
We begin by meeting with our client to understand the business operations, goals, challenges, and opportunities. We also gather information on the accounting/finance department. We have found to that speaking with the hiring manager(s) and any key stakeholders improves results. We then carefully craft search criteria with "must-haves" and "preferred" qualities with a roadmap to find ideal candidates.
Because timing is imperative in hiring, we immediately begin the process of identifying potential candidates through numerous methods including: phone calls, emails, social media, and our internal exclusive network. We rely on our proactive communication to existing contacts and we can also access our 2nd and 3rd connections through a confidential job post.
Engage & Evaluate
Our next goal is to provide you, with qualified candidates who are very interested in interviewing for the position. As soon as candidates are identified, we engage them with carefully crafted messaging to begin the interviews.
As a representative of your organization, we understand the importance of maintaining the value of your brand in the marketplace. This is achieved by not oversharing and professionally engaging with targeted candidates.
Once engaged, we begin to interview and evaluate the qualifications of each candidate. We develop interview questions designed to evaluate whether the candidate has the right mix of skills and experience. Simultaneously, we are listening to the candidate to determine their work style, habits and culture fit. This level of information may be obtained in one interview for lower-level positions, yet it may take two or more conversations for more senior roles.
Additionally, we conduct two to three reference calls on every candidate who progresses through the interview process and, where possible, seek out “back door” reference comments from candidates who are known to us.
When qualified candidates are identified, they are immediately presented to our clients. A written summary along with the candidate’s resume and clear compensation expectations are sent electronically, typically followed by a brief discussion about each candidate to cover any questions or gaps identified.
We are in regular communication with our clients during this stage of the process, providing updates and immediate feedback when necessary.
Interview & HIre
The goal of this last step in our process is to facilitate meaningful interviews and a smooth, negotiation-free offer acceptance. We work with both clients and candidates through every step of the interview process.
We help coordinate interviews with the client’s hiring managers, HR, or assistants. We help prepare our clients for interviews by covering areas of strength and potential weakness for each candidate, pointing out areas that may need more focus. Following each interview, we immediately gather feedback from candidates and proactively share it with our clients. This timely and open sharing of information continues until a candidate is selected and received an offer.
We work throughout the entire recruitment process to make the offer process smooth and without negotiation. We “close” our candidates prior to each final round interview and provide this information to our clients so they know exactly what offer details it will take for each candidate to give an excited ‘yes’ to an offer. We cover every aspect of a potential compensation package in this step so nobody is caught off guard by a last second request or counter offer.
