One of the largest heavy equipment dealerships in the PNW, our client operates across four states in the region. Profitable and growing with regional branches, they are headquartered in the greater Spokane, WA region. With recent private-equity partnership they have a long-term dedication to growing the business while maintaining their values of customer service, commitment to their people, a safe and fair working environment, ethical business practices, integrity and honesty. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The VP of Finance will have responsibility for all accounting and financial activities of the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, themselves with a strong background in financial management, this person will have purview over the entire financial framework for decision making and providing the CEO and BOD with effective counsel, analysis and interpretation of financial and operational performance data to lead the company in its PE-driven growth targets. Managing a team of 7 this is a mix of a Controller and CFO position.   

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

The following are near requirements for all applicants:
  • Degree in accounting/finance, an MBA or related advanced degree and a CPA/CMA – all pointing to a deep understanding of US GAAP.
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in the accounting and finance space.
  • Deep experience and understanding of a business with long sales cycles and large OEM relationships.
  • Previous responsibility for profitable growth as a senior business leader in an executive team.
  • Exposure to a private-equity environment and/or an owner-run company.
