Tracy is a professional self-starter who learns new skills quickly, manages time efficiently and is detail oriented. Throughout her 30 years working in the accounting field, she has shown that she can tackle anything asked of her.
Tracy began her career in high school, working as a cashier in an automotive service department. After graduating from high school, Tracy started working full-time in the accounting office, learning the basics of maintaining vehicle inventories. In 1997, Tracy went to work for Town & Country Dealerships. Here she learned to manage accounts payables, accounts receivables, processing and posting car deals, payroll, general ledger reconciliations, bank statement reconciliations, cash management, and financial statement preparation. During her years with Town & Country Dealerships, Tracy would be an integral part of the business. She was instrumental in keeping the dealerships in compliance with the DMV, automotive factory requirements for incentives, rebates, and warranties, and with state and federal filing requirements for 1099’s and all payroll related reporting. The owner of Town & Country Dealerships sold his last Oregon dealership in 2019. After assisting with the transfer to new ownership, Tracy took the opportunity to broaden her skill set. She was hired by Yaculta Companies to work in the Family Office. She was originally hired to maintain the books for a resort in Wyoming, an investment of the family. Here, Tracy set up processes for reconciling the four main revenue streams, each with its own software, to provide the owners and operators with daily financial data. This enabled the general manager to set financial goals for departments that could be easily monitored. She also managed payroll for seasonal employees from states across the country. In 2020, Tracy was asked to take on the responsibilities of the Family Office Controller. These entities are trusts, partnerships, an airplane hangar with multiple tenants, and the holding company of Yaculta Companies. Tracy works closely with the family’s CPAs, providing them with reconciled financial statements to ease the creation of tax returns for the entities and multiple family members. Working for Yaculta also gave Tracy the opportunity to participate in a $4.5 million Series A fundraising event with one of the family’s investments. She collaborated with the company as an Interim Controller, cleaning up multiple years of unreconciled and unrecorded data to provide the financial statements and data needed for the capital raise. She learned how to create a Cap Table and how to covert warranties and SAFEs to stock after the raise was complete. Born and raised in a suburb of Portland, Oregon, she now lives in Camas, Washington, with her husband, daughter, mom, and two dogs. She loves to spend time with her family, laughing, cooking, and traveling. She has recently taken up painting, tapping into the creative side that helps her solve the accounting puzzles she loves to solve. |
