From crafting a simple yet effective accounting system for her father's business at the age of 14, to managing multimillion-dollar revenue streams at Microsoft Corporation, Shawna’s journey in accounting spans over three decades. Graduating from Bellevue College with an associates degree, she embarked on a diverse career path that encompassed roles ranging from Bookkeeper, Accountant, and Treasurer to Accounting Manager and Controller.

During her tenure at Microsoft, Shawna was privileged to play a role in the accounting team responsible for the debut release of Microsoft Xbox. Despite temporarily retiring to focus on raising her three children, and homeschooling them from preschool through high school, she remained deeply engaged in volunteer work. Shawna contributed her expertise to non-profit boards and homeschool co-ops.

Presently, Shawna operates her own small business offering bookkeeping services while pursuing a master's degree in accounting. Beyond her professional pursuits, Shawna and her family find joy in nature walks, birdwatching, and active involvement in their local church community. Residing in the picturesque Pacific Northwest, she cherishes the beauty of the region and is committed to helping others in any capacity she can.
