CLIENT SUMMARY

Our client is locally-owned and a proven provider of integrated construction services to the wireless and energy industries. They serve the region by offering design, procurement, deployment, and modification services and have demonstrated success from highly complex, large-scale projects to targeted maintenance and modification projects since their inception in 2003. Their customers include Tier 1 carriers, power companies, and global system integrators to name a few. They’re experiencing consistent growth, including continued forays into the emerging alternative energy segment of the market.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accounting position is newly created to fulfill the accounting needs of the growing company. This person will report to the Corporate Controller and will oversee GL Accounting and Financial Reporting over the Wireless division, while cross-training with a peer in the Alternative Energy division. The Senior will own pieces of monthly reporting, reconciliations, and compliance, while getting exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, tax, and audit responsibilities. 

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

The Controller needs someone with the ability to work with complex financial information with minimal direct supervision. You will be a self-starter, analytical and forward-thinking, and have the following qualifications at a minimum:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • At least three (3) years of progressive GL accounting experience at a small-midsized company
  • Experience in the construction industry or exposure to construction (project/percent-of-completion) accounting is highly preferred, though job cost accounting skills in related industries is accepted
  • Intermediate+ Excel skills and ability to quickly acclimate to using QuickBooks
