Liz is an accomplished accounting professional with over 20 years of in-depth strategic and financial hands-on experience including all aspects of GAAP general ledger accounting, financial reporting, credit card expense management, banking/treasury, payroll/benefits, tax filing/compliance, foreign currency consolidation, budgeting/forecasting/analysis, month-end close, and audit support. She has overseen HR-related responsibilities and has a solid background ensuring robust internal controls and well documented procedures. Liz is passionate about continuous improvement and routinely finds ways to solve problems and streamline, automate or re-engineer processes to save time and costs.
 
Liz is a licensed CPA, with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and international business, entrepreneurial training, and experience in multiple accounting and ERP systems. After starting her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, she worked in leadership roles at several fast-paced, high growth companies involved in technology, professional services, apparel, steel fabrication, home care, and hospitality. She enjoys supporting businesses in many ways from efficient management of day-to-day accounting tasks, to equipping owners with essential financial data needed for decision-making.
 
Liz’s roles have included Auditor, Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Controller, Director of Finance, Vice President Finance, and Consultant. She is available for project-based and ongoing work, which could be part-time, contract, or fractional in nature. She usually works remotely but is available to work in person in the Spokane area or for occasional meetings in other locations.
 
Liz grew up abroad in an entrepreneurial family but has lived for many years in Spokane with her two children. She is an avid learner and a big student of leadership, loves to read various genres, and likes music, travel, and her brindle pug Dilly.
