POSITION SUMMARYThe Controller is a new position at the company that will oversee Accounting, Accounting Systems and Tax. Created out of necessity due to their growth and spun off of the responsibilities of their current Director of Finance, this will be a fast-paced, hands-on role. The Controller will focus on automating many solid existing processes and procedures and concentrate on scaling and building additional accounting operations and systems infrastructure to support the company’s growth.
Technical responsibilities include management and continued improvement of the accounting closing and financial reporting processes, coordination and consolidation of international subsidiary operations, overseeing tax planning and reporting, and contributing to the utilization of the company’s numerous financial systems. Strategically, this role will navigate the inherent complications that come with scaling a hyper-growth mode business internationally and through channel complexity. Many of the tactical challenges exist in the need to balance improving accuracy of financial data while building scalable structure (control, reporting, tax, systems) to allow them to grow unimpeded. The leadership team is seeking someone with an uncompromising attention to detail who fully embraces the company’s mission and vision. They will join a very high capacity group of supportive people with low egos in a highly accountable environment.
