CLIENT SUMMARYOur client is a well-known institution that provides diversified financial services to clients of all sizes and stages. They are growing a venture capital arm locally focusing on the management of funds on behalf of limited partners. With billions in AUM currently, they are expanding their product offerings to some alternative products to meet local need.
POSITION SUMMARYThis Business Unit Controller has the unique opportunity to assist in the growth and development of product expansion, as well as support the management of investment funds and work with reporting and control requirements. As part of a small, yet growing team, they will assist in the set up and implementation of new product offerings. They will report to the Director of Finance and directly manage 2-3 Senior level people. This role will supervise the production of financial statements, tax reports and leverage, investor, and other internal reporting for certain investment funds.
QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARYDirect private fund accounting management experience is required for this management level position, though direct venture debt experience is not required. Preferred is someone who comes from a large public accounting firm where exposure to the financial services industry was gained, along with a CPA license.
