CLIENT SUMMARY

Our client is a 30+ year old electrical contracting firm with $125M+ in revenue and 400+employees. POSITION SUMMARY

The Controller will lead and manage the company’s entire accounting team and function, including GL, A/R, A/P and Payroll. Reporting to the CFO, this person will be a key member of the management team and will partner with operations to ensure a smooth flow of information throughout the business. Oversight of financial reporting is a key part of this position as this person will manage monthly financial statement preparation and will partner with the CFO on creation of the Board reporting package.
 
Managing a small team, this role will have oversight of multiple areas of the business including audit, insurance, leases, licenses, fixed assets and taxes. Additionally, maintenance and tracking of monthly work-in-process and associated direct and indirect costing rates will be a significant detailed aspect of this position. 

This position pays a base salary of between $130-170k and offers medical, dental, vision, time off and retirement benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP accounting in the construction, manufacturing or project-based industries (architecture, design, engineering) required.
  • Mid-level experience that wants a career path to CFO
  • Highly detail-oriented and systems savvy; highly process-oriented and skilled in process improvement.
  • Familiar with accounting software
