CLIENT SUMMARY

Our client is a multi-generation family-owned HVAC distribution company. With locations across four Western states, ~70 employees, and more than $30M in revenue, this company is a full-service distributor serving their local markets with the same high-level of service that has kept them in business for over 70 years. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Controller will be the company’s #1 Accounting and Finance position in the company. Working closely with the General Manager and President and overseeing a small team in accounting, this person is responsible for overall financial close and reporting of all the company’s locations. Additional responsibilities include budgeting/forecasting, management of state and local taxes, analysis of the data – telling the story and being a hands-on leader and team-player in this family atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

The President and General Manager are seeking a knowledgeable GAAP accountant with deep experience in full-cycle accounting (close, financial statement preparation) at a similarly sized company. An Accounting/Finance degree is nice to have, though in lieu they will accept 10 years of hands-on and progressive accounting experience. This person must have been a direct manager over a small team of accountants (AP, AR, Payroll) for a number of years.
