Brian is a seasoned finance and accounting executive with over 40 years of experience as an Accountant, Controller, Accounting Manager, Director of Finance and CFO for companies in the construction, food processing, agriculture, export, medical and manufacturing industries. He has played an instrumental role in corporate mergers, acquisitions, startups, expansions, and reorganizations. Brian has used his experience in company financial planning to assist companies in budgeting, analysis, reporting and forecasting. He is a team leader that has worked with banking, government, and annual audits on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Brian has also led teams in fiscal monthly and annual closings, inventory reconciliations and employee health benefit negotiations.
Most recently, Brian has served as Controller then Director of Finance for Columbia Pulp I, LLC, a startup manufacturer of sustainable pulp made from wheat straw. He managed the accounting and finance functions, including inventories, payables, receivables, state and federal reporting, EMMA reporting and acquired $1.2 million of PPP loans, through the SBA. While working with Columbia Pulp I, he served as board member and president of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Eastern Washington Partnership – Workforce Development Council and was the company director for sustainability practices. Brian is currently serving as the volunteer Treasurer for a non-profit organization. Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Central Washington University. |
