Tamara Hawana has spent more than 25 years untangling complicated financials for businesses that needed more than a bookkeeper, but weren't ready to hire a full-time accounting manager. She works on a fractional or project basis, stepping into roles depending on what an engagement calls for. Her specialty is walking into with disorganized books, making sense of them, and leaving the operation with cleaner processes and audit-ready records.

During her time with ASP, Tamara has served as Senior Accounting Consultant handling A/P, A/R, payroll, fixed asset reporting, and fund tracking for non-profit clients. Before that, she served as Accounting and Payroll Advisor at Jones & Roth, PC in Hillsboro, managing accounting and multi-state tax work for 10 to 15 clients across Oregon and Washington simultaneously. Over the course of her career, she has worked with medical and dental practices, non-profits, real estate firms, construction companies, HOAs, restaurants, and engineering firms. She holds three QuickBooks certifications — Online Advanced, Desktop Advanced, and Enterprise — and an AA in Computer Science from Condie Junior College.

Outside of work, Tamara and her family spend time hiking the trails of the Columbia River Gorge and flying kites on the Oregon coast.
