Susan is a skilled accounting professional with over 25 years of diverse experience. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Washington University. After a few years of teaching, she realized that it was not the career path she wanted to pursue. She then set out to strategically learn the finance profession by acquiring positions that provided her with a variety of accounting experiences. Each role she took on allowed her to gain new skills in different accounting tasks. After working in accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger (GL) reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis, Susan returned to City University to earn her Accounting Certificate.

Throughout her diverse finance career, Susan has advanced through positions in AP, AR, as a Staff and Senior Accountant, and as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper and Finance Director. She has had the privilege of working in a variety of industries, gaining valuable experience in both nonprofit organizations and for-profit businesses.

Susan lives in Snohomish with her husband, two children, three dogs, and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dogs on walks along the trail system in the regional park behind her house. She also loves camping, spending time in nature, and visiting her vacation home in Ocean Shores, where she enjoys quality time with family and friends.
