Schuyler brings decades of diverse experience with an accounting background in construction and engineering, commercial properties, and tech fields. He has experience in both the government and private sector.
Schuyler enlisted in the US Army after high school. He later earned a BS degree in economics from Southern Oregon University, specializing in econometric forecasting. He worked as an accountant for a commercial property development and management company, where he used his economics background to develop sales forecasting models. He worked with their marketing department to adjust their marketing efforts and increased percentage rent income by over forty percent without increasing expenses. He later worked as a consultant in the Bay Area helping several tech start-ups establish their accounting departments and prepare for external audits. He worked as a deputy sheriff in Colorado before returning to the military. He worked as a contractor in Afghanistan and Iraq before joining the US Government as a forensic accountant. Schuyler is an avid dog lover and shows Afghan Hounds, earning two invitations to the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. |
