Rebecca began her bookkeeping career working for her dad’s construction company at the age of 17 doing certified payrolls. She loved the work, so decided to develop her skills with an accounting certification and continuing education. She has worked for over 20+ businesses as either a W-2 employee or contractor over her 40-year tenure. Her husband being self-employed gave her a front row seat to the trials and needs of entrepreneurship, which has increased her expertise in supporting small businesses. Her bookkeeping services focus on efficiency and recognizing where processes and reporting can be used to resolve and clean up company financial records.
She is QuickBooks Certified, has worked with multiple financial software programs and is versed in all full-charge bookkeeping duties, including reconciliations, payroll and taxes. She is familiar with internet sales including nationwide state sales tax collections. Rebecca is also a licensed Oregon tax preparer. Her work with the Boy Scouts of America led her into the non-profit arena of supporting passions, values, and missions. She has had the privilege to serve 3 national non-profits, developing expertise working with grant allocation, management, budgeting, and fund-raising. Rebecca has collaborated with companies that coach world class athletes and was hired on recommendation by the US Anti-Doping Agency as project manager to establish an efficient system to process Therapeutic Use Exemptions for Olympic athletes processing over 1,400 applications per year. Rebecca enjoys nature and homemaking skills, grew up in Colorado Springs and has recently moved to the Portland area where she loves spending time with family. |
