Brent Dau is a seasoned financial executive and CFA charter-holder with over 20 years of experience in finance, strategy, and operations. As a Partner at CFO Selections and the North Texas Practice Leader, Brent collaborates with businesses to deliver tailored financial solutions, foster growth, and enhance operational efficiency.
Throughout his career, Brent has worked with organizations of all sizes—from early-stage startups to established enterprises—across diverse industries, including real estate, technology, aviation, and the nursery industry. Notable achievements include structuring multimillion-dollar tax-efficient investments, launching and scaling high-growth startups, and serving as CFO for a deep-value investment fund, where his experience included mortgage trusts, serving on the Board of Directors of a public holding company, Czech gaming, and financial institutions. A graduate of Princeton University in Mechanical Engineering and the University of Chicago with an MBA in Finance, Brent combines a technical foundation with strategic vision. Outside of work, he serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at John Paul II High School in Plano, where he leads facility initiatives to support the school’s growth and development. In his free time, Brent enjoys hitting the golf course, pursuing his passion for the game, and finding new ways to challenge himself both on and off the green. |
